Any time I work with a new buyer, I have them create a list of must-haves and nice-to-haves. One thing I see clients struggle with on those lists is landing on how much closet space they want. Typically, they just want “more”, which is a good start, but not very precise. So how do you know what you need, closet-wise?
My suggestion is to look at what you have. Not just the number of closets but actual square footage. That will be a big help in determining how much more space you need.
Bring a tape measure to showings, so you can see if a home’s closets measure up — literally!
