I ran into an interesting myth about selling a house recently that I wanted to share with you: the idea that more time to market the property will result in higher offers.

The idea is that if you got a decent offer quickly, you can score an even better home price if you hold out for more offers to come in. This is a dice roll that so often doesn’t work out.

The problem with this way of thinking is that a home that has been sitting on the market — one with high DOM — tends to get lower offer. The longer your home is for sale, the more 👀 is seems to other agents, who wonder what’s wrong with the home that’s causing it to remain unsold.

Are you looking to sell? I’m here to help you avoid common pitfalls like these and make the process as smooth as humanly possible for you.
